April 9 – Depart Reagan National on Continental flight #4656 at 2:36pm to Newark. Take overnight flight, Continental #24 at 7:30pm to Shannon. Remember to arrive 3 hours early for International flights.
April 10 –After collecting our luggage and clearing customs, our driver/guide will escort us to the motor coach. Begin our drive south to Cobh with a visit through the village of Adare with its pretty thatched roof cottages. Stopping briefly in to stretch our legs and have some tea and scones. Arrive in the early afternoon and check into hotel. Enjoy dinner tonight at the hotel with our fellow travelers. Overnight: Commodore Hotel, Cobh (B, D)
April 11 –Today's activity will include the 2012 Centenary Tour in a special commemoration tour to mark the 100th anniversary of the sinking of the Titanic. The Centenary Tour is an enhanced Titanic Trail, introducing new revealing facts about the Titanic/Cobh connection. A civic ceremony has been arranged for a meet & greet with the Mayor. We will also lay a wreath at the Titanic memorial and join Dr. Michael Martin, author and creator of the "Titanic Trail" who will give us a firsthand account of the cruise. Dinner has been arranged for the group this evening. Overnight: Commodore Hotel, Cobh (B, D)
April 12 – Following a hearty Irish breakfast, we head to Killarney. Along the way we will visit Blarney Castle, in County Cork, where those energetic enough may choose to climb the 104 steps to kiss the stone located in the battlements and gain "the gift of the gab." There will be time for a short visit to the adjacent Blarney Woolen Mills, a favorite of shoppers. Arrive in Killarney in the afternoon and check-in to our hotel. April 13 – Today we tour the famous Ring of Kerry which provides an amazing insight into the ancient heritage of Ireland - see the Iron Age Forts & Ogham Stones, Old Monasteries and a landscape carved out of rock by the last Ice Age 10,000 years ago. Return to Killarney with time to explore the town, or enjoy a drink in the hotel pub before dinner with our group. Overnight: International Hotel, Killarney (B, D)
April 14 – Today our driver/guide will take us to the Killarney National Park for a jaunting car ride along the lovely Lakes of Killarney. Return to Killarney and the remainder of the afternoon will be free to explore. Overnight: International Hotel, Killarney (B, D)
April 15 – Today we travel along the Dingle Peninsula to delight in the stunning views of the Slieve Mish Mountains, the shoreline of Dingle Bay and the open Atlantic Ocean. At the tip of the Peninsula, near Slea Head, Ireland's most Western point we will be able to see the Basket Islands offshore. Then on to the Louis Mulcahey Pottery Center to see the potters at work and maybe do a little shopping. Complimentary tea & coffee will be available. Arrive Tralee in the late afternoon with time to relax and explore Ballyseede Castle and grounds before dinner. Overnight: Ballyseede Castle, Tralee (B, D)
April 16 – After a leisurely breakfast we will board the motorcoach and begin the scenic drive to Dublin. Upon arrival at our hotel, the remainder of the afternoon and evening will be free for us to explore the city independently and dine in one of the many traditional pubs or restaurants. Overnight: Camden Court, Dublin (B)
April 17 – Today embark on a sightseeing tour of Dublin City, one of the most vibrant capitals in the world. We will explore the elegant Georgian squares and houses, colorful parks, and bustling shopping areas. We will end the tour at Trinity College for a glimpse of the world renowned 9th century Book of Kells. Tonight we will enjoy our last group dinner at the hotel. Overnight: Camden Court, Dublin (B, D)
April 18 – After breakfast depart for the Dublin Airport with time for check-in and last minute duty free shopping. Continental flight #23 departing at 9:00am and arriving Newark at 11:25am. Continental flight #4922 departs Newark at 3:25pm and arrives Dulles International at 4:55pm.(B)
