Day 2 Arrive Bangkok - Welcome to Thailand! Well known as the City of Angels, Bangkok is the present capital city and the focal point of Thailand. It was made Thailand's capital in 1782 by the first monarch of the present Chakri Dynasty. It is a vibrant city, a national treasure house and Thailand's spiritual, cultural, political, commercial, educational and diplomatic center, with endless choices for sightseeing and entertainment. Upon arrival, you will be met by our representative and transferred to your hotel.

Day 3 Bangkok (B, L) -This morning, visit the Temple of the Golden Buddha (Wat Traimit) to see its solid-gold Buddha and peek inside the Temple of the Reclining Buddha (Wat Pho) known for its monumental horizontal Buddha. Stroll through the Pak Khlong Talat flower market, a whirlwind of stalls selling masses of perfumed orchids, marigolds and roses. Lunch will be provided at a local restaurant, after which, you will return to your hotel for an afternoon at leisure. This afternoon, perhaps, join an optional Thonburi Klongs (canals) tour with the Grand Palace (at extra cost). Firstly, travel by boat through the klongs to see simple family homes erected on stilts, glittering temples, and a way of life which earned Bangkok the title "Venice of the East." Stop at the Temple of Dawn (Wat Arun), whose towering spire has become an iconic symbol of Bangkok. There will be ample time for photo opportunities. Afterward, visit the stunning Grand Palace comprising the Funeral Palace, the Reception Palace, the Throne Hall, the Coronation Hall, the Royal Guest House, and the beautiful Emerald Buddha Temple (Wat Phra Kaew). Green in color, the Emerald Buddha is carved from a single piece of jade and is only 17 inches tall. It is the most revered object in Thailand. *Tour operates daily from 1:00PM to 5:30PM.

Day 4 Bangkok (B) - This morning, drive through the countryside of Bangkok and visit the world-famous floating market of Damnoen Saduak. Situated 110 km from Bangkok in Ratchaburi Province, this market is like a trip back in time to old Siam. You will see colorfully clad merchants paddle along canals in sturdy canoes laden with fresh fruit and vegetables to sell on the canal banks. This buzzing market is at its best in the early morning before the crowds arrive and the heat of the day builds up. Afterward, continue on to Phra Pathom Chedi in Nakorn Pathom, reportedly the largest pagoda in Southeast Asia. The golden-tiled dome of the Chedi towers almost 116 m into the air. At Damnoen Saduak, perhaps, take an optional paddle boat ride (at extra cost). Another optional activity (at extra cost) is a "River of King" Dinner Cruise. A moonlight dinner cruise on the "River of Kings," is a must-do activity in Bangkok. Very few cities in the world can offer such an experience. This tour offers a combination of world famous Thai and international cuisine served on board a large vessel passing some of the most iconic buildings the city has to offer. You can dine in a cool, air-conditioned room with live entertainment or take advantage of the abundance of seating on the upper deck, if you like to eat al-fresco. Along the route, you will see the city's most famous buildings such as the Grand Palace, the Temple of Dawn and several famous bridges including the newly-built Rama VIII Bridge. After the meal, guests may move to the spacious upper deck to relax under the moonlight, admiring Bangkok's stunning night time views. *Tour operates nightly from 6:30PM to 10:00PM.

Day 5 Bangkok / Phuket (B) - Mid-morning, you will be transferred to Bangkok's domestic airport for your flight to Phuket. Upon arrival in Phuket, you will be met by our representative and transferred to your hotel. Phuket is the largest island in Thailand and a province in itself. It is a beautiful place with many great beaches, rocky capes, mountains and forested hills, as well as lush farmlands incorporating crops such as rubber, pineapple and tapioca. Phuket is also a central point from which travelers may discover alternative, but equally exciting destinations. Enjoy the balance of the day at leisure.

Day 6 Phuket (B) - Enjoy today at leisure. Optional activities: 1. Phang-Nga Bay by road (at extra cost). This tour provides an unforgettable journey through one of the most unique marine settings in the world! Start the perfect day with a drive across the causeway to the mainland, where a boat awaits to take you on a cruise around the towering limestone karst islands, in the famous Phang-Nga Bay. These majestic rocks rise dramatically out of the sea and are interspersed with mangroves and fascinating hidden caves. En route, visit the renowned James Bond island, the location of "The Man with the Golden Gun" and countless other movies. A trip to the floating sea gypsy village of Koh Panyi is next. This village is notable for being built on stilts at the end of the 18th century by nomadic fishermen. Lunch will be served at a local restaurant. *Tour operates daily from 8:00AM to 5:00PM. 2. Phi Phi Island by speed boat (at extra cost). For those who prefer speedier boat rides, this excursion is an island-hopping trip that takes in the larger Phi Phi Don and the smaller Phi Phi Ley islands. Phi Phi Ley was the setting of the Hollywood film "The Beach," which was shot mainly at the picturesque Maya Bay. At Phi Phi Don, discover the amazing limestone cliffs, long, sandy beaches and clear, emerald water. One advantage of this tour is that it gets to Phi Phi before the morning crowds arrive on the local long-tail water boat taxis from Ao Nang. Guests can stop at Monkey Bay and snorkel over the amazing reefs abundant with colorful tropical fish, followed by delicious lunch at a local restaurant. *Tour operates daily from 8:30AM to 5:00PM. 3. Phuket FantaSea Cultural Theme Park with buffet dinner. Phuket FantaSea showcases the charm and beauty of Thailand. It encompasses an extravagant 140-acre theme site which includes a festival village, carnivals, games, handicraft stalls, shopping outlets and a 4,000-seat restaurant offering a grand buffet of Thai and international cuisine. The main attraction is the breathtaking Las Vegas-style theatrical show that uses state-of-the-art technology and special effects to reveal Thailand's myths, mysteries and magic. The performance includes magical illusions, animal performances and musical presentations in a 3,000-seat theater set against a backdrop of the reconstruction of an ancient Thai stone palace. *Tour operates daily from 5:30PM to 10:30PM, except Thursdays.
