DAY 1 – Depart the USA  Depart the USA on your overnight flight to Paris, France.

DAY 2 – Paris  Upon arrival, transfer to our hotel in Paris, the magnificent 'City of Light'. The day is free for you to explore on your own or just relax.

DAY 3 – Paris City Tour  After breakfast, enjoy an included panoramic tour of Paris. See such famous sites as the Louvre, Opra Garnier, Place Vendme, the trendy district of Le Marais on the Right Bank, Place de la Concorde, Champs-lyses, Arc de Triomphe, Place de la Bastille, the Trocadro and the pice de rsistance – the Eiffel Tower. We've also allowed free time for us to explore this capital city on our own.  Meal: B

DAY 4 – Embark the MS Amadeus Diamond In the early afternoon, embark the MS Amadeus Diamond, home for the next seven nights. Enjoy an afternoon at leisure to unpack, discover the amenities aboard ship or take a leisurely stroll along the Seine. This evening, the ship departs Paris and the Captain hosts a welcome reception in our honor followed by dinner onboard. Meals: B, D

DAY 5 – Conflans Sainte Honorine / Palace of Versailles / Auvers sur Oise  Following breakfast, depart on an included excursion to the Palace of Versailles, best known as the site of the vast royal palace and gardens built by King Louis XIV. Originally starting out as a simple hunting lodge, today the Palace hosts the Museum of France's history.  After lunch onboard, depart for Auvers sur Oise. A local guide will walk us through the town and show us some locations made famous by Vincent Van Gogh such as Le Maison de Van Gogh and the cemetery where he is buried. Meals: B, L, D

DAY 6 – Rouen  Today we visit Rouen, the historic capital of Normandy and one of the most prosperous cities of medieval Europe. Our local guide leads us on an included walking tour where we see many highlights of the city, including the gothic Notre Dame Cathedral, Rue du Gros Horloge – the main street of Rouen, and the amazing astronomical clock. Visit the historic district Place du Vieux-Marche where a monument marks the spot where Joan of Arc was burnt at the stake. Today this charming, bustling town square is dominated by the church of Saint Joan of Arc.  Enjoy free time this afternoon to explore this quaint city. Meals: B, L, D

DAY 7 – Full Day to Normandy  On this full day included excursion from Le Havre, see the now peaceful province of Normandy which is so very different today than on June 6, 1944. See the sites where Operation Overlord, one of history's most decisive battles, led by General Eisenhower, took place. Travel to Pointe du Hoc, situated on the Normandy coast near Grandcamp-Maisy, with sweeping views of the English Channel from atop the cliffs. Drive to Omaha Beach and the Normandy-American Cemetery and Memorial where thousands of white crosses mark the graves of our military heroes. There is free time during the excursion before returning to the ship in Le Havre. Meals: B, L, D

DAY 8 – Honfleur This morning, travel by coach to the postcard perfect town of Honfleur. A local guide will lead us on a walking tour through the lanes of this charming town as we see some of its historic buildings and picturesque harbor.  Return to the ship for lunch and enjoy an afternoon onboard. Meals: B, L, D

DAY 9 – Les Andelys /Giverny / Vernon  Arriving in Les Andelys, our morning excursion takes us to the village of Giverny where the painter Claude Monet lived. See his workshop as well as the "pink and green" house with Monet's personal collection of Japanese prints. The garden close to the house is the Clos Normand, reconstructed from Monet's drawing. Meals: B, L, D

DAY 10 – Paris With an early morning arrival in Paris, the day is at leisure to spend pursuing independent interests. This evening, we say goodbye to the Captain and crew at the farewell reception onboard. Meals: B, L, D

DAY 11 – Paris / USA  Bid 'au revoir' to France and return home with memories of the life enriching experiences along the Seine and the remarkable history of Normandy. Meal: B
