Day 1 - Board your motorcoach this morning and head towards Florida. Arrive at your overnight stop in Yemassee, SC where lodging has been arranged at the Hampton Inn for the evening (pack an overnight bag); dinner is on your own this evening.
Day 2 - After breakfast, check out and travel south into Florida and the beautiful Miami area. Check into
your accommodations at the Hampton Inn Miami Doral-Dolphin Mall, and then have a chance to freshen up before enjoying dinner at a local restaurant.
Day 3 - Breakfast this morning, then depart for a guided tour of Miami. Your guide will give insight into this
eclectic and ever-changing city which traces its roots back to the Spanish in 1500 and has become a melting pot for diverse cultures from all over the world. During the tour you will see the "Little Havana" area, Wynwood Walls Urban Graffiti and the Art Deco Architecture of Miami Beach. There will be time for lunch on your own and some window shopping in Miami Beach, before departing on a 90-minute Sightseeing Cruise Sit back and relax for an unforgettable narrated cruise along scenic Biscayne Bay. See Miami's spectacular coastal sites including the beautiful downtown Miami skyline, the Port of Miami, Fisher Island, Miami Beach and "Millionaire's Row" - the homes of the rich and famous. There will be time to freshen up this evening before departing for dinner.
Day 4 - After breakfast, head north to Boca Raton for a tour of the historic Boca Raton Resort & Club. The 90-minute strolling tour "walks" through the hotel's story that includes its hoteliers, architecture, historic turning points and its incredible role in Boca Raton's history since the 1920s. From here, continue to Boca Raton's original Town Hall. The guided tour includes a brief video, the fascinating architectural story, a peek inside the old vaults, and an introduction to the museum's current exhibit. There will be time for lunch on your own in downtown Boca Raton near Sanborn Square and Mizner Park, then continue north to the resort town of Palm Beach. Upon arrival, board the DivaDuck for a 75-minute Amphibious Tour. This narrated tour takes you through the historic neighborhoods and across the bridge to the Island of Palm Beach. Passing such sights as the Society of Four Arts, Bethesda-by-the Sea Episcopal Church, the Breakers Hotel, the Flagler Museum and the Biltmore Estates. After your land tour, "splash" into the crystal blue calm water for a relaxing and entertaining cruise on the Intracoastal Waterway. Returning to Miami, you will once again enjoy dinner at a local restaurant.
Day 5 - Following breakfast, enjoy the entire day free to do as you please in the warm Florida sunshine. inner is on your own this evening.
Day 6 - Breakfast this morning, then it's off to the Ancient Spanish Monastery. The Monastery of St. Bernard de Clairvaux was built in 1141 AD in Sacramenia, Spain and Cistercian monks occupied the monastery for nearly 700 years. In 1925, William Randolph Hearst purchased the buildings and had them dismantled and shipped to the United States. Due to financial problems, the shipment remained in a Brooklyn, NY warehouse for 26 years until being purchased in 1952 as a tourist attraction. It took 19 months and nearly $20 million dollars to put the monastery back together and it is now an active episcopal parish. Following the tour, depart for the Coral Castle Museum. Built by one man, Edward Leedskalnin, he single-handedly and secretly carved over 1,100 tons of coral rock, and his unknown process has created one of the world's most mysterious accomplishments. The afternoon is free to do as you wish and dinner will be provided this evening.
Day 7 - Enjoy breakfast, then check out and depart for Yemassee, SC where lodging has once again been arranged at the Hampton Inn for the evening (Please pack an overnight bag); dinner is on your own this evening.
Day 8 - After breakfast, depart for home with fond memories of Miami, Boca Raton & Palm Beach.
